Procedure of carrying out a complete removal and new installation:

- Contents of old or failed tank will be removed, and any good clean oil will be moved to a temporary tank. During this, the boiler will be switched off but if an Aga is present we can keep this running on request

- Once we are confident the existing base is up to regulatory standards we will supply and fit the new tank. If a base is not compliant it means the new tank’s warranty will be void.

- All our new tanks come with ultrasonic contents gauge, meaning the client can monitor the fuel levels from indoors, as well as a new filter tank at no extra cost.

- Testing of the existing oil line is also carried out for integrity before returning the good clean oil into the new tank.

- Purge, run & test the boiler (boiler must have been regularly serviced and be running when the engineer arrives).

- We will dispose of old tanks to registered recycling centres – please feel free to enquire about our Waste Carrier Licence & Recycling Certificate.
