Brockwell Gundogs

I’d give 10 stars if I could!
Took our 2 year old whippet Monty to Ian recently. Extremely tense on the lead, pulling hard and starting to be very reactive toward other dogs when out walking. Taking him for a walk was stressful and hard work.
We’d tried all sorts to help the dog, but getting nowhere, in fact he was getting worse. Ian made an assessment, and literally within five minutes Monty was 100% improved. He’s already like a different dog - we can’t believe the difference the techniques Ian has showed us are making.
Ian’s calm, quiet manner with the dog and very clear instructions / guidance for us has given us the confidence to handle the dog properly.
Couldn’t recommend Brockwell Gundogs highly enough.

Had a fantastic training session with Ian with my dog who is 6. Has come a long way in the 5 years we have had her but wanted some advice on improving her recall when she finds something interesting to smell and her over excitability with other dogs.
Ian gave us a whole host of tools and advice in order to tackle both of these issues and in the one session demonstrated then observed me carrying out the same techniques which had brilliant effects immediately. The session was recorded so we can go back to it for a recap in the future which is also very helpful.
Can not recommend the service enough i would definitely be in touch a lot sooner with any future dogs to tackle any concerns as early as possible in the right way. Ian has a very calm and caring way of working with the dogs which makes it a very enjoyable experience for both dog and owner.

Jak a springer I got from Brockwell Gundogs is one of the best things and easiest things I’ve done as it was so well organised he met me half way and gave me tips and videos on how to keep on top of training which was really useful. Highly recommend!

Ian and Alex have been outstanding from the very start of my experience with them. From selecting the right dog that will suit me and my shooting/hunting needs to the ongoing excellent communication from start to finish. This included many video updates on our dog's (Dot) progress and performance, including weekly phone calls.

The kennels are pristine and the level of care and hygiene afforded to the dogs here are second to none! Ian the owner and Alex are both very approachable and intensely knowledgeable about all things to do with dogs, gun dogs and all that their business encompasses.

I must add that their aftercare and advice after I took Dot home has been excellent. Any time I have needed some reassurance or advice they have been promt to reply and happy to discuss anything.

They have helped with my continuation training with Dot and are happy to critique my own videos of my progress with Dot in her new environment.

100% genuinely nice people, I will do business again

We took our 2 year old Labrador to Brockwell and explained that she doesn’t walk well still, doesn’t come back on recall and mainly she is reactive to other dogs. Brockwell took Lola in for a month on a residential and they have worked miracles on her. She is not only walking excellently but she doesn’t really care about other dogs and I can finally walk past other dogs without fear. It’s like a different dog!! She responds so well to the whistle now as well. I couldn’t stop smiling when I picked her up and we did our training session before she left. I cannot speak highly enough about the team, especially Ian and Alex. We were really nervous and worried about leaving our dog. They kept in touch with us all the time via phone and sending videos of her progress. I would strongly recommend. Thank you so much Brockwell we finally have the dog we always wanted.
