Brockhurst Stables

Awful atmosphere! No maintenance to fields or stables- liveries have to maintain own fields, ragwort a big issue- fences often coming down as no post & rail, all electric fencing! Expensive for what it is

Lovely friendly yard with access to lovely bridle path hacking. Assisted DIY, so always someone to help if you can't get there yourself. Individual turnout all year, outdoor arena and lunging pen. Most stables have rubbed matting and automatic water, which saves a lot of work. Highly recommended.

Nice yard, terrible atmosphere!

The best thing about this yard is the location. Stables are higgledy piggledy - many are poor quality added on to the original buildings, built with left over materials; corrugated iron, railings, pallets etc. Lots of sharp edges. Lunge pen is the same. Fencing is electric with plastic posts - often coming down and liveries are responsible for repairs/replacement! (no turnout until fences are repaired)! There is no maintenance on this yard, fields are overgrazed and not managed - no harrowing, rolling, spraying etc. Ragwort is a big problem here. Shame as could be so much better if time and money was invested.

Excellent yard with friendly people. Amazing hacking, loads of off road tracks. Best yard I’ve been on for 20 years.
