Dissapointed
1As they advertised as Brake Specialist I took my car to them with an ABS fault.
They said they could not clean the ABS rings and did not know how to sort a brake sensor which was attached with a bolt that was just turning in the hole. They charged me in excess off £50 for the privileged of my car coming out as bad as it went in with no offer of a solution.
I took the car to a one man local garage, he tapped out the bolt, fitted a new one and cleaned the ABS rings with brake cleaner and a stiff brush. Cost £40. All now working perfectly. I can't understand why Brakesafe could not have done this simple job.
Hi Robert I am sorry you where not satisfied with our service ,you booked your Jaguar in to have a diagnostic check on the ABS system and we told You exactly what was wrong.As you know these ring are very difficult to remove and special tools are required to replace the ABS rings .I was under the Impression you had located reconditioned units with new ABS rings ,this would mean there was no need to remove the bolt.You were charged £45 + vat for a diagnostic check on your Jaguar XK8 this by no means was this expensive .Once again sorry you felt we were only worth a one star review Charlie Lamb
