George Gotch formally of Tams Brig Mot Repairs recently relocated and opened a new repair centre in Boydfield Avenue, Prestwick. Boydfield Garage is a local small business offering routine vehicle maintenance and solutions to your varying repair issues.

Open since 1st September 2011, the new premises have already proven to be a great success with both existing and new customers. Offer high quality service but at a very cost effective price.

MOT - We will check your vehicle and advise you on any works required to pass an MOT. Your vehicle will then be taken to the MOT testing station where it will be assessed and issued with an MOT certificate and returned to Boydfield Garage for your collection.

Externally Sourced - We also work in conjunction with other local tradesman which allows us to offer other services while your vehicle it is at Boydfield Garage such as:

Break pads, sensors and discs done (allegedly) using premium parts. Less than 2 months later had to change front pads and sensors again. Went back twice before doing so, only to be told come back tomorrow, we’re about to close etc. rude and dismissive. Waste of time and money, avoid!!

Won’t Use Again

My service was done in Oct but at the end of Dec/beginning of Jan I noticed that my car felt stuttery when driving. When I checked under the bonnet my oil levels were fine but my coolant was very low (millimetres). I topped this up myself. I was told that they top up all your fluid levels but clearly not! He said it must be a leak but when I checked at the end of January it was still the same level from when I filled it up myself. He said the stuttering might be my spark plugs but surely these would have been checked in Oct?! I won’t use these chancers again, prob cutting corners because I’m a woman. My mum said that he had a very abrasive manner with her too when she took her car in. We will both be finding somewhere else now!

I had my car in for a service and mot and cant fault the owner his work is top notch and buy far cheeper than others.
I will be returning and will recomend him to others
