Bi-monthly auctions of Antiques & Collectors' Items are held at Chudleigh Town Hall with weekly Valuation Afternoons each Monday 2-5pm for free appraisals of potential entries.

The March auction at Chudleigh was led by a diamond coated choker necklace at £8,700. A two stone diamond ring sold for £6,500.

Also, we have had a great couple of sales this last year! We did sold a 17th century long case clock selling for over £12,000 and a pocket watch for over £20,000!

Michael J Bowman has been holding regular auctions at Chudleigh Town Hall since 1986, including antiques, ceramics, fine art, jewellery, militaria and collectors' items. Newton Abbot and the Teignbridge area are the centre of our operations, but vendors regularly consign items throughout Devon. Our weekly valuation day in Plymouth at the Future Inn Hotel on the first Thursday of each month, helps to cater for our Cornish & Plymouth client base.

We are available for free consultations at Chudleigh Town Hall each Monday afternoon by appointment. (except Bank Holidays). Verbal opinions of auction value will be given. You will be under no obligation to leave items for sale.

I contacted Michael regarding selling a Lalique paperweight for me. He is very pleasant chap, honest and upfront and explains everything very clearly. I think the paperweight sold at the second auction he put it into and I was extremely pleased with the amount if fetched. Excellent all round site.

This is an excellent overview of Mr Bowman's business giving information on all aspects from the situation of the auction house to the working day and sale details. Also, a very good description of the auction services offered by Mr Bowman and a resume of past sales and figures realised. It is always nice to have prior knowledge of the method of payment before attending an auction.
