At BME Volunteers CIC, our Health Assessments are a great way to help you better understand the current state of your health and how you can get healthier.
BME Volunteers CIC Private Healthcare Support Services (BPSS) is not insurance. Through membership we complement the NHS, private healthcare providers and reduce waiting times by offering speedy support and access to healthcare service providers for service users when there's a need, objective, wait or other challenges.
While the NHS provides a great service, increasing pressure on NHS budgets means that demand for services can outstrip the resources. This can lead to significant waiting lists for both diagnosis and treatment and could impact on your quality of life and long-term health.
Most people have to rely on the NHS alone, not many can afford to pay for expensive private medical insurance.
This is particularly the case for many families living with visible and invisible disability health challenges. NHS Pre-Corona-virus waiting times for an autism assessment range from 22-36 months on average in the UK for children and much longer for adults waiting for assessments. We provide support services that look to aid including Education and Healthcare Plan Annual Reviews.
At BME Volunteers CIC, our Health Assessments are a great way to help you better understand the current state of your health and how you can make sure you’re as healthy as you can be. Even if you’re feeling well, conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol may have no symptoms but could affect your health in the long term.
People wait 14 weeks on average for new Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claims. Less than half (44 per cent) of new PIP claims are awarded the benefit, with more than 50 per cent refused. Are you entitled?
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) can be paid from the start of your claim. It cannot be backdated. Your claim will start on the date the form is received or the date you call the enquiry line (if you return the claim pack within 6 weeks). You'll usually get a decision letter about 8 weeks (40 working days) after your form is received.
