This is an excellent small family run business. A high and dignified level of care was given to my mother. Individual needs are taken in to account. The carer came on time daily, no problems with reliability. The staff were all friendly and competent.
I would strongly recommend this company for providing a high level of individual care at home.
The owner is very friendly and listens to the needs of the individual. They respond quickly to email correspondence providing a very good level of communication.

I've benefitted from Blue Star's services for years. My high quality cleaner is always reliable, thorough and keeps me in comfort. She anticipates and her common sense helps me stay in my family home in old age.

Our mother has received the highest quality of care which enabled her to live well in her sheltered flat. The professionalism of the team have been exemplary.
They worked in partnership, raising any concerns immediately with us. We were encouraged to raise any concerns and they responded by problem solving, offering advice and supporting. Throughout this time our mother received compassionate, reliable help and they built trusting relationships with her.
Our elderly mother died at home. This was enabled by Bluestar working in partnership with us.
In the last week of her life, four care visits/day transitioned into end of life care. This involved giving regular dignified care, ensuring she was clean, comfortable, preventing pressure sores and supporting us. They did this with such compassion and sensitivity both for our mother and for us.
Our mother died pain free, peacefully and with such dignity. It is with such appreciation that she had such a peaceful transition.

Excellent home caring provided for our Mum. The attention to detail and support the Blue Star team provided, in particular Donna and Nicola, was first class.

Blue Star St Andrews home care services came recommended and have not disappointed. My elderly confused mother needed help to remain in her own home and after a personal assessment of her needs I was told 'I have just the person for your Mum'. They were not wrong, the lady whom they sent was brilliant and very quickly developed a good understanding with my mother, helping with shopping. companionship, chores around the house, medication and the numerous issues an elderly woman with worsening dementia can pose. As time went on the number of visits and hours increased with different staff, each of whom were very good.

The management have been very helpful ensuring throughout the covid pandemic that someone was able to cover the allotted hours even when the primary carer was unavailable.

Would I recommend Blue Star? Too right I would.
