Had a meal here today, I had the Angus burger and fries and the burger was really dry probably because it was over cooked. My husband had the chalk stream trout which looked like a salmon fillet to me and again over cooked. The service was very poor, we waited half an hour to order and then even longer for it to arrive. It was very quiet with only one other table eating in the conservatory so it’s not as though they were busy.We have visited many times in the past and never experienced this and needless to say we won’t be hurrying back.

Fantastic food, fantastic service! You won't find a pub like it!

I have visited this little gem of a pub on many occasions and time and time again I am blown away by the food that comes out of the kitchen and the friendly and attentive staff! Not to mention great value for the quality of food that is served! Most of the stuff is straight from the garden and you can actually see the kitchen guys picking it, i'm sorry but which other eating establishment do you know that does this? Take it from me it's definitely worth giving this place a try!
