Thank you so much to Darren and his team for cooking us the most delicious hog roast! The hog was so succulent!
Our guests (and ourselves) were most impressed with it all!
Right from the start, Darren has communicated everything so well.
On the night, they set up everything beautifully, served it all and after cleared everything up! We didn’t need to worry about a single thing.
We would recommend Big 5 to anyone!

I started speaking to Darren several months ago. He came out and took a look at the venue and advised on the best location for the BBQ and serving tables. The choice of food was extensive and varied. We went for some old favourites, pulled pork, salmon, chicken and lamb chops, but then experimented a little with the curried banana salad, which proved to be a real winner. I cannot express how good the food and service was. Exceptional doesn’t do it justice. It was perfection!! Virtually every guest came over after the food and told me how much they enjoyed it.
If you are thinking of holding an event give Darren a call. You won’t be disappointed. Once you choose the food all you need to do is sit back and poor a few drinks for your guests. It beats slaving over a hot and smokey BBQ all day and what’s more it’s all served for you on proper plates with metal knives and forks and they clear all the mess away at the end. It really doesn’t get any better!

Thank you to Darren and his team for a fantastic 60th birthday BBQ party in our garden! I was slightly apprehensive as we’d never done this kind of thing before, but Darren made the whole experience totally stress free and produced the most delicious BBQ feast for approx. 70 guests in the smoothest possible way despite the rather challenging weather (it was an extremely wet evening!!).
From the very beginning, when Darren came out to see us to discuss the menu and advice on choices, to the very end, when our house and garden were left totally spotless, the whole process was fantastic. Many guests remarked on how interesting and delicious the food was, and on how friendly and professional the service had been.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Darren’s services and am now hoping for an excuse to do another party soon!

I was completely wowed by the service and food provided by Big5Catering at my birthday party. Darren is professional, friendly and personable. The hog roast was perfectly cooked, and oh the crackling was succulent and crisp. Everyone loved it. All waste was taken away (unlike some other caterers)
