TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

5
Commissioned Bennington Green (BG) to evaluate our property for a single story extension. They gave us several options, one of which we wanted to take forward to planning. the BG team surpassed expectations in terms of attentiveness , responsiveness , proactivity and delivery. Approached several companies and BG were by far the most professional. Built confidence & trust from the very first communication

Petty and unsanitary

We are the home owners not the paying customers, so we take all the risks, and seem to be treated with zero respect. My partner is medically extremely vulnerable, which we informed them of twice, working from home and had a hospital appointment. I requested that the rooms he was using be reviewed while he was out, so I could clean them before his return and he could go back to work, office and toilet. I also offered a range of antibacterial products for use, these were refused. While not wearing gloves, constantly touching his person and mask,  he went through every room touching radiators, every switch, knocking every wall, touching every door, even though they were left open shaking windows, rattling the balcony, touching furnishings, curtains, sofas, furniture, putting ladders against our clothes. I understand and am happy the housing market is open, and surveys take place, but government guidelines are with upmost due care and minimal contact. This was not the case!

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you are uncomfortable with the survey process. Firstly, we take COVID very seriously and all of our staff undertake twice weekly lateral flow tests, sanitise before and after every appointment and are provided with all necessary PPE to keep themselves, clients and members of the public safe. We also arranged a pre-inspection COVID questionnaire which in this case we learned of the vulnerable individual and that they would not be present at the property during our inspection. In terms of our inspections is it unfortunately necessary for our surveyors to touch the building and many of its components whilst carrying out the survey as this is a necessary part of our investigations and absent of which there would only be limited value to the potential purchaser in a visual only inspection. Our surveys follow the government and RICS guidelines and we are sorry that you found the process to be invasive.
