Want to reach a level where you can play and busk your favourite songs, whatever genre they may be? Or be good enough to get a band together?

Maybe you *do* want to take the grades/music theory approach!

Or maybe you already have some fundamentals and want to learn to write songs and compose!

I offer all of the above and more. My easy, useful and fun self-written basic and intermediate courses for guitar, bass and piano can be tailored to the individual and applied to their musical tastes and interests.

These courses combine simple chord, scale and rhythm exercises with learning how to play along with songs. These songs are picked collaboratively with the student and apply what is being learned to how it works in popular music. Whether you want to sound like Taylor or Tame Impala, we can work together to get you playing in the style of the music you love most, and crucially understanding how it's written and performed. I can also help you to prepare for grades and teach music theory in a simple and easy applied way.

I'm a friendly and supportive type, love to meet people and would be happy to teach people of all ages and experience levels.

Lesson length: 1 hour at £25 (home visits available provided they are inner Leeds area. 30-45 mins for pre-schoolers).
