Bellacouche

Bellacouche is owned and run by Yuli Sømme, set in a chapel on Dartmoor.

I design useful and beautiful hand-made felted wool products for the home, from tuffets to tea cosies, sumptuous meditation mats to felt making kits.

I also make shrouds and ‘soft coffins’ for ecological funerals and am committed to personal service. New approaches to funerals enable a more celebratory approach as in other cultures, and encourages an imaginative use of rituals old and new. My intention is to help us connect more with the beauty in the Cycle of Life by offering a range of products that focus on aesthetics and natural burial and lowering the impact of cremation. Wool creates a soft and comforting atmosphere that helps the bereaved achieve a funeral ceremony with heart.
