Absolutely appalling food and service - avoid like the plague. Do not be conned by the £8 for two courses - what you eat is not worth £8. You could get better out of Farmfoods. Really, please, save your cash and go somewhere else. Spend £8 elsewhere on a meal that's worth eating. Scampi was dripping in grease and had no taste and the chips looked like they had been re-heated time and again. As for the gammon steak, it had more fat than meat. Please avoid. I am not one to complain but this so-called restaurant made me so mad I felt like I had to. No apology or questions asked when we didn't eat the food. Just all in all a complete disaster.

Good value for money, good service, food is lovely. Popped in last week for lunch, four of us all agreed that the starters, main course and sweet were really good. Adequate portions, good service, staff attentive and friendly. Well done Beancross, four satisfied customers, will be back soon.

I have signed in to the internet today to get the Bean Cross phone number and I am shocked by the reviews. I have now been twice and received an excellent meal twice. The food was cooked to perfection and there was a good choice which is surprising with the price only being £10. Each person had a different starter, main and sweet and we were all very pleased. Two pieces of advice though make sure you are very hungry before you go as portions are huge and try for yourself before believing myself or the other reviews.

This place looked really nice from the outside, but the food,Oh dear!!! My wife & i had Pate starters with toast,the toast was stale,The Macaroni chesse was lke mush & was very bland,it should have been called Macaroni in white sauce,was no cheese taste at all. Our kids had hotdogs,the were rubbery,Th chips were cold, thy tasted cheap, kinda no potato inside them. The steak which we paid a suppliment for was dry,overcoked. the only part we did enjoy was the icecream.this was from a tub so we couldnt go wrong. As for the staff,well the waitreses stood around & talkd to each other.we didny expect to hear about 1 waitresses pregnancy,it was practically all we heard throught our meal, we went for a quiet family meal not to listen to all that crap. The play area was ok but kids were running about daft inide i,staff didnt care. Needless to say we wont be gong there again, Avoid at all costs.

The service is the worst I have ever experienced. The food is nothing special & the staff are rude & arrogant. You wait ages to be served & when you finally are they bring you the wrong order, you then get the manager coming over & asking you if there is a problem as you upset the waiter/waitress. No apologies for them getting it wrong in the first place. I emailed them to complain & got no reply. You get better service at Macdonalds, Avoid at all cost!!.
