Beacon Medical Practice

I temporary registered, I had a horrible accident while travelling between East Sussex and here, it made sense to stay here because there are no stairs in this house. So, registered with them, the Receptionist was exceptional! came round from behind the desk to speak to me ( I am in wheelchair...temporarily) Then, she managed to get me to see Dr Butt the next day, Dr Butt...brilliant! so friendly, professional and immediately gave me assistance. Am quite sad really that I don't live here full time because for me personally, this GP Surgery outshines many I have been to.

I am 79 and have had severe cold and chest infection for 6 days now, I have been with this surgery for 45 years. I have been trying to get an appiontment for several days, but each time I phone I am 32 in the queue or even 72 in the queue. There are no appiontments or phone backs, this a very serious situation which they don't seem to care about. I find it downright dangerous that there is now no health care for the people that need it!

We’ve been patients with this doctors practice for ten years and have never experienced such poor care as we have here. Thankfully we are moving away and initial contact with new GP has been positive so far. With the hospitals being so far away here you need your GP more and there’s never any continuity , phone calls are rarely returned , hours spent queuing on the phone. Worst ever practice. Sadly the poor reviews change nothing at all because they have the monopoly here.

Over the past several years I have suffered with severe headaches so I went to the doctors to see if thy could tell me anything, I managed to get an appointment which in its own is like having a full time job, anyway I went to see Dr Butt she looked at me and said I must go to the Pilgrim as it looks like I have some swelling near my brain so in a panic and scaring my heavily pregnant wife I made my way to the Pilgrim, after 10 hours I was told theres nothing there and Dr Butt shouldn't have said what she did.

My rating is 0,iv never known a place like it ,can't get appointment ,can't get a home visit ,people could be dying but do they care NO they don't,,
