Business overview
We educate, We amuse. We encourage and occasionally we inspire. This earth was not given to us by our ancestors. It is borrowed from our children and our children's children.
The primary aim of Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm is to help maintain the national stock of endangered and rare farm animals. The secondary aim is to provide visitors, particularly children, with an opportunity to meet healthy, contented and friendly farm animals. Every child is given a free bag of animal food on arrival and as you wander between the paddocks you will meet two breeds of cattle, six flocks of rare sheep and four different breeds of pig. You will also find goats, poultry and alpacas on the farm.
Baylham House Farm is an excellent place to come with a picnic, to meet a variety of animals, take a walk along the waterside paths and spend the day in the Suffolk countryside. The majority of the paths are wheel chair and push chair friendly and, when you've had your fill of fresh air and the children are exhausted, you can recover with a light lunch, a cream tea or a choice of home made cakes in the Farm Café . A disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are available.

Reviews
An idylic day out in the beautiful Suffolk countryside with loads of friendly animals.
5The baby goats were our welcoming committee, closely followed by sheep, and pigs.
All the animals are extremely tame, and those in the fields come right up to the fence. it was a hands on experience.
It was an idyllic day out on the farm in the beautiful suffolk countryside.
There is a straw bale structure for older children to play on, a weathered play area with huge tyres, and tractors to climb on, it's a rustic traditional farmyard day out.
I thought it was excellent value for money, but make sure you bring a picnic, as the refreshments are limited, however there is no problem with re-entry.
If you are looking for hyped up adventure play areas, with a huge carpark on site you will be disappointed, as there is a short walk over a humped back bridge, past an old water mill to get to the entrance, which adds to the charm.
We will definately be visiting again fairly soon.
