Neill Wine Group is a completely independent wine business offering quality and value focused produce bringing a whole global wine culture to North Down. The company plans major wine tasting events throughout the year including visiting winemakers and presentations by its staff. The recent visit and walk about shop tasting by Jeremy Borg, Painted Wolf Winery, Coastal Region, South Africa was a huge success and supported very well by the local community

June saw the takeover of Bay Wines by local wine merchant and importer Robert Neill. The retail outlet at Station Square, Helens Bay has maintained its name offering a very wide range of wines as well as craft beers & spirits. With the Company's other retail outlet and trade wholesale division based in Groomsport the Neill Wine Group works closely with wine producers from all of the major regions of Europe and throughout the world.

I use the off license regularly and its great, good wines and craft beers which are always well researched and very good.
The staff are knowledgeable and couldn’t be more helpful

I find it hard to believe the poor review. I continue to use this wine merchant. They are always helpful and are happy to get in something if they don't have it in stock. I live in Helens bay and many people there use and support this village business.

Having lived in several parts of the UK and elsewhere in Europe s as a long standing wine enthusiastic I can confidently say that this is an outstanding wine merchant with pleasant, helpful and unpretentious yet knowledgable staff. The first reviewer is talking nonsense. apart from anything else I know many people in Helen's Bay who would go nowhere else.

I used to love buying from this little Helens bay Off License (Now Bay Wines) but its unfortunately gone down hill badly in the last year. They have now stopped selling all the common brands of drink & they now only want to sell unheard of brands. The whole place also seems to have become so dark & depressing looking. I also now find the staff can get cheeky with you if you ask them if they stock any common brands. Very sad to see it being run this way as I fear it may not last that long as everyone I know around Helens Bay has now stopped using it.
