I bought a pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses here last year. The service was brilliant. Recently I took my glasses to them to be tightened for a better fit, which the staff said absolutely no problem. The lady said she would also give them a clean. Great service!
However when I got home I realised that my lenses had been damaged, they were severely scratched and the coating had been rubbed off. They were blurred and I couldn’t see properly. When I called the shop I was told it wasn’t their fault and that lense coatings can wear down. I have worn glasses since I was 13 years old and never had this happen. They denied any responsibility and said they would not replace the lenses as it was outside of the warantee, they would only give me £50 toward some. Full price would be approx £150. The shop 100 per cent damaged my lenses but expected me to pay for new ones. Completely unfair customer service, I will never shop there again or recommend their service.

I booked my nan in for a sight test, as she was a little nervous having a sight test. Aintree Batty and Dexter branch were outstanding, the optician completely put her at ease and she brought new pairs of gorgeous glasses . she was so pleased with the service she has been telling all her friends.

I had a fantastic sight test on Saturday. I would recommend the Optician to everyone. He was very professional and gave me great advice. I’m looking forward to collecting my new varifocals next week
