Battleswick Fish Bar

My cod was half uncooked batter, chips didn't taste fresh and order 2 girkins and got 1. Didn't help the lady serving was too busy chatting. Will not be going back there

Visited last night and requested my chips ‘well done’. They happily obliged and the portion was huge and perfectly (crispy) cooked.

Would not recommend going here I visited and simply asked when was chips last cooked (as I like hot food) workers behind the counter had no idea when and said they only work here and course given strange looks for asking

Nice food but not always got the full menu on offer. Been in a number of times and southern fried chicken is always sold out by 6pm .... Not sure they even cook any some evenings and always say they have sold out.If you want chicken I suggest KFC.

20:00 on a Friday night the store is empty. The floor is disgusting. A member of staff is complaining about feeling sick and coughing in the kitchen without covering their mouth. It's been 15 years since my last visit when a member of staff was cutting their nails in the kitchen. Not much has changed. See you in 15 years. Congratulations on still being the worst place to eat in Basildon.
