Chris has worked in and around Bath since completing his apprenticeship with his father. He Gas Safe registered himself over 21 years ago.

As well as running Bath City Plumbers Ltd - to meet the central heating and hot water needs of hundreds of Bath and Somerset residents each year.

Great and versatile plumber

We have used Chris ever since moving to Bath and from day 1 he has been excellent and we have absolute confidence in him. From the first day we moved in he has been here for us and was able to repair the boiler the day we got the keys. As well as keeping the boiler in fine fettle he has installed a separate hot water system for our ground and basement floor, relocated radiators across the house, installed our water filter and recently replumbed the kitchen and fitted the hot water tap. We always recommend Chris to our neighbours as he is always prompt, helpful and gets the job done. We can’t recommend him highly enough

my plumber for life

Since buying my first house in Bath, I have used a number of plumbers, but since finding Chris I have looked no further! He has serviced boiler, fitted new boiler when old one died, replaced radiators, conducted boiler / heating survey on house I was looking to buy, taken out condemned gas fire. You name it Chris can do it (if it is related to plumbing and gas). He is always quick, efficient on time, honest and in a good mood / easy to deal with. Even my cat likes him!

Waste of time

Absolute terrible service a complete waste of time . After bumping into Chris in plum centre I explained my urgent situation he Made me wait 10 days for him to turn up to tel me the flu needs repositioning one would expect him to do that but no get someone else then when he’s booked into to do the gas safety check I inform him there’s a loose nut that’s leaking I received a text no phone call saying hasn’t got time he’s aware it’s holding my house sale up I rang him 10 times no answer text to rebook and ask advice no reply . Picks the jobs he wants and treats you with utter contempt. He knows he’s so busy doesn’t matter how he tests people . AVOID THIS MAN.

Thank you for your feedback. I confirm that we met in Plumb Center where you asked me to certify your DIY boiler work. I attended at the mutually agreed time, which you were happy with until i was unable to certify the illegal and potentially life -threatening boiler. I advised on the works that needed to be carried out, ideally by a professional, that went far beyond tightening a loose nut. The numerous sweary voicemails you left me were left within the space of half an hour while i was driving and unable to answer. You did not give me a chance to respond and were unwilling to listen to my professional advice in any case. I was not able to move the flue to the position you wanted as this required listed building consent, which you did not have. It is you that is treating your house buyers and the plumbing community with contempt. I have requested that this false review be removed and advise those reading it to read my other reviews for a fair reflection of my work.

ALWAYS DOES A GREAT JOB FOR US

We have been using Chris to carry out boiler servicing, landlord gas safety checks and all other heating and plumbing works, including a new boiler, at our rented property just outside Bath. As we do not live near the property, we can always rely on Chris to respond quickly and carry out a good job for us and our tenants. He is very honest and his quotes are very reasonable and he is always a pleasure to deal with - would highly recommend Bath City Plumbers!
