Bashfords Farm House

Bagborough, Taunton, TA4 3EF Directions

Business overview

Charlie and Jane Ritchie moved from London in 1992 and spent a year renovating this 18th Century farmhouse to an exceptional standard. Using local craftsmen they have created a house full of beauty and character.

There are big open fireplaces and guests dine around a large pine table and are made to feel totally welcome during their stay. Charlie and Jane pride themselves on their cooking and dinner is available by prior arrangement.

Set in the beautiful Quantock Hills and easily accessible from all parts of the country, Bashfords offers the ideal centre for a stay in the area.

You can walk from the front door and be on the hills (one of the first officially designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK) where you are likely to see red deer, buzzards and a wide variety of other wildlife.

Charlie and Jane can advise on the best walks in the area as well as providing maps and packed lunches.

Bashford's Farm House-wonderful experience

My Sisters and I visited this beautiful farmhouse in July 2018. Charlie and Jane were incredible hosts. So happy we stayed here as this farm house was originally owned by my great-great grandfather (last name Rich). Food, warmth and laughter were bountiful! Norman W. Rich
