Faultless

Every room has been upgraded in our extended bungalow by Barlow Construction. It has taken 5 months of non-stop work and we can only describe it as faultless - not a word we use lightly. From day one their prime concern was to ensure we got what we wanted, whilst ensuring quality and politeness and excellent communication. They know what they are doing and they do it extremely well. Scrubbing the new patio on the last day summed up their whole attitude - we want it right for you. Brilliant.

Top Man - look no further

Lewis Barlow has been involved in two major projects at our house near Stillington. These included restoring a barn and converting to residential use, renovating the original farmhouse, and building two substantial extensions.

He has immense skill in all areas of construction, takes huge pride in his work, and is always a delight to deal with. He also runs a team efficiently, and explains what he is doing as he proceeds, giving helpful advice and always letting you know in advance what the next day or week holds in store.

As a result of his input our house is a joy to live in, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I should not go elsewhere if I were to take on another project.

Excellent service and workmanship

Barlow Construction were contacted to provide us with a quotation to take down a boundary stone wall that a tree had pushed over. We met on site with Lewis and stressed to him the issues that would occur when rectifying the wall with neighbouring residents needing access at all times. After discussing all factors of the job, we received a very reasonable quotation and gave Lewis the go ahead. I must say the job was completed to the very highest of standards and all the residents also commented on how polite and courteous the workers were while being there. A top building firm that we will certainly use again.

Renovation work

Earlier this year, we contacted Barlow Construction to do some renovation work to one of our properties. After meeting Lewis we quickly realised that we would be in safe hands due to his approachable manner and well thought out program of works. Lewis and his team proved to have lived up to the high expectations he set themselves and we have already pencilled in our next project starting next summer. We can not recommend this company enough. They were punctual, polite, hard working and left our home spotless after each working day.

Roof Repairs

Lewis and his team at Barlow construction carried out some repairs on our roof and we are really pleased with the completed work. Double Storey Extension

Lewis & the guys at Barlow Construction built our double storey extension & fully completed the interior. From en-suite bathroom to installation of kitchen, Lewis project managed all areas, making it entirely stress free. Groundwork & Foundations

Barlow construction built the foundation block work and external brickwork up to DPC and preparation for the ground floor slab for my timber frame barn conversion. The team demonstrated flexibility and good problem-solving to deal with complex site challenges. They worked quickly and accurately to produce level and square foundations to tight tolerances, creating a very sound base for the timber frame structure, and a high quality finish to the brickwork.

Extension

Lewis & team did a brilliant job on our extension, without them we'd not have achieved our dream home. From basic drawings, at a very good price, a huge job was completed in record time. The quality of work is to a very high standard & Lewis always accommodated changes we wanted. Our architect commented on the fantastic workmanship & took photos for his website too! We'd definitely recommend & use Lewis & his team again, we are planning a patio, bathroom remodel & a whole house repointing.
