Mike brings his own speakers and amp and is completely self-contained, so you don’t have to provide anything for him, other than lots of willing and fun-loving dancers! He’s a great chap and gets everyone involved in the dancing in a fun, informal way.

You don’t have to have any previous dancing experience and the emphasis is most definitely on having a laugh rather than getting it right. Mike will walk you through all the dances before the music is let loose on you, so rest assured, you won’t be expected to know what you’re doing as Mike manages a crowd in a light-hearted manner.

Mike’s been involved in attending, running and calling for Barn Dances and Ceilidhs for many years, both with live bands and as a solo caller. He’s got a broad based repertoire of both simple and more complicated dances, so he’s a good caller for both beginners and more experienced dancers alike.

The focus will always be on a fun filled night. Booking Mike means you keep more money in your kitty, yet you have a cracking good night of music and dance - the best of both worlds.
