The rating is for the member of staff rather than the store. I visited B&Q this morning hoping to purchase a light fitting, which according to the site said that there were 2 in stock. Unfortunately after making the trip there, there were none in stock. On a positive note, one of the member’s of staff by the name of Samantha, a young blonde employee, was extremely helpful. She searched high and low for the missing two light fittings. I was impressed by her diligence and commitment to staff care. She was very helpful and did all she could. Unfortunately, through no fault of her own, the fittings couldn’t be located. I really appreciated her help though and hope she gets commended by management. Thanks again Samantha. Patrick.

Supporting our care homes in such a hard time.

I work at Valorum care Penn ,we have residents that have illnesses that have meant they have to rely on a wheelchair. I contacted B&Q for any unwanted plants or seeds so we could make the gardens beautiful for our residents. Also get them involved planting and watching them grow. Lisa & karen were very helpful and donated tomato plants & potted plants, from us all we would like to say a massive thankyou. You have made our residents very happy and if the weather stays nice they can watch their plants grow, even enjoy the tomatoes in the dinners.

Bad experience due to rude service from racist women

My mother and father went too exchange the jet pump they had purchased and this kind lady Amarjit was helping them as my parents do not speak English fluently. Then this older women called Carol left her own till to see what was going on and she asked Amarjit what was happening and she stated what she was doing which was helping my parents. Carol very rudely stated that if they don’t know English why did they buy anything and was making a very big scene infront of numerous people. My parents asked what she was saying and then Amarjit translated what she said stated what caral said to my parents and were very upset and my parents explained that just because they can’t speak English doesn’t mean that I can’t buy anything and there is no sign saying I can’t purchase anything because I can’t speak English. Very disappointed about how they hire people like caral and will not be coming back!!

Visited the store Thursday evening and had a list with 4 items I had printed off from home from the internet as it told me the aisle. However, whilst in store my right hip went and could hardly put any weight on my foot. The cashier was so wonderful and got a member of staff to do my shopping from the list I had so was so happy that I had printed it. The staff were kind, patient and understanding and I was truly grateful. Thank you to the member of staff (young lady) who so kindly offered and the member of staff (young man) also for getting the items - very much appreciated.
