Matt grew up the son of a traditional antiques restorer and spent his childhood surrounded with high quality furniture. From a very early age he learnt about traditional furniture construction and the beauty of wood.

Matt’s career took a very different path to that of his Father, as he obtained a Bsc in manufacturing technology that led to him working as a manufacturing engineer for various blue chip companies.

His last role in this field was for a company in Canada where he automated processes in a very large joinery company. It was during this role that he realised that the UK did not have the same easy affordable access to cabinets made from high quality natural and sustainable materials.

He returned to the UK with a passion to create a company that could supply quality kitchen units with an emphasis on high quality natural materials, sustainability, combined with manufacturing efficiency.

Matt launched The Natural Cabinet Company in 2015.

The passion to continue developing cabinets from the most sustainable natural resources has recently led to the launch of our bamboo cabinets. Bamboo Kitchens is a trading name of The Natural Cabinet Company Ltd.
