Baked & Battered

The idea came to us like a lightening bolt. Authentic Neapolitan Italian pizza using home made dough specially

prepared each day in our kitchens in Cobham and Weybridge using traditional ingredients and delivered hot

within 30 minutes.

It was a novel idea, pizza delivery, but perhaps someone had already thought of it. We searched high and low but

we couldn’t find anyone doing what we considered our idea.

Finally we had to think of a name, Dom (who knows pizza) suggested Dommi-Knows Pizza, this suggestion

was immediately poo-poo’d “who would buy a pizza from a place that sounded like an old man’s pub game”.

Good point, we agreed... so that’s how Baked came about!

We spent many months looking for a suitable home for our new pizza idea but to no avail.

Then one day after chatting over numerous bags of jolly good chips with Annie (the quiet unassuming owner of Cobham Station Fish Bar) a deal was finally struck. We agreed to help Annie fulfil her life long ambitions of travelling, in exchange for the keys to the shop and Battered was born which combined with our amazing pizza concept, became the very first “Baked and Battered”.

Two years on and lots of our customers were asking if we could move the shop closer to their homes in Weybridge so that they too could enjoy having us deliver our menu straight to their door like their neighbours in Cobham. We went one better and opened up on Monument Hill.
