Baily's Beads Barn Dance Band

19 Arundel Drive, Rodborough, Stroud, GL5 3SH Directions

Business overview

This 4/5 piece band usually comprises fiddles, piano accordian, keyboard and bass guitar when playing for dances; other instruments being used for other occasions.

Affiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society, we specialise in British, Irish and American dance music.

Based in Stroud, but with band members from Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol, we are likely to be seen anywhere in Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties.

We do weddings, dances, parties, concerts, fetes, street busking, background music, charity events, fundraisers etc.

If required, we will arrange a caller for dances or work with other callers.

We come with a full PA system, or we can play acoustically.

We haven't, as yet, appeared on the moon, however: first noted by Francis Baily in 1836, Baily's beads can be seen during a total eclipse of the sun.

As the moon covers the sun, beads of sunlight shine through the valleys between the mountains round the rim of the moon.
