After thorough research, we hired BMW to fit 10 windows, 2 doors, and a set of french doors. We received nothing close to the “Top Quality” product or fitting we were promised. Most windows had hammer/knife marks, gaps in joints and nearly all handles were scratched before fitting. The majority of the windows were not fitted level resulting in twisting of the frames. It took countless ignored telephone calls/emails before anyone came to look at the issues. Our issues were only properly addressed upon eventual involvement of the managing director - eight months after the initial “five-day” fitting. Communication of the company was awful and held this process up massively. We have considered asking another company to rectify the numerous outstanding issues, but were told this would nullify our warranty. Overall, very poor quality and fitting, and appalling communication and customer service.

BMW Windows are a company that is very friendly when they want your money but after you have paid and you find that you have any issues with their products then customer service goes straight out of the window.

A decent company prides itself in its workmanship and hopes for returning trade and recommendations from satisfied customers. They will now get neither from me.

This company do not care about after sales service at all, once I paid my money in full and tried to get them back out to my property, they simply washed their hands of my property and stopped replying to emails.

BMW will tell you that you have a 10 year Insurance backed guarantee supported by the Plastic Window Federation, and that your installation is also covered by FENSA. Well I spoke with FENSA, and they said I would need to speak with BMW, and that FENSA do not get involved in any issues to do with the installation work carried out. So what use is a 10 year insurance backed guarantee, if you can not get them back out to your property!

To make things worse, they can not tell you what rated windows they install in your property.

My advice is to stay clear, and use a company who can clearly tell you what rated windows they install.

We have had a horrendous experience with BMW Building. In October 2016 we arranged for new windows and doors throughout our home, including a porch extension. We agreed a price and work arranged to start 7th November 2016. They didn’t attend. They contacted us the day after and stated it would be another 3 weeks as they had failed to order the doors. Since then they have not contacted us, returned our calls or attended our house again. I went to the premises to speak to the owner and wrote a letter of complaint. They acknowledged the complaint promising a prompt response. After a month and a half they still haven’t been in touch explaining why we have been treated in this way. We went to the company as it was a family business with a good reputation. Instead we have been left with a bank loan, no work being carried out, a disrupted Christmas and not one word of explanation or apology. I can genuinely say we have never experienced anything as bad as this from a company before.
