Our lessons are priced from £42 per hour and take place in a brand new Citroen C3. Pay for 10 lessons in advance and get 1 free!

BJM School of Motoring is the leading driving school serving Hertford, Ware, Knebworth, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne and the surrounding areas. We can teach anyone to become a safe, confident and courteous driver for life.

Driving Lessons

Established since 2000 we are well-known throughout the local area for our competitive prices and excellent pass rate of over 60%, which is higher than the DSA national pass average of 43%. Our driving instructor Barry Moor is available 6 days a week, including Saturdays and early mornings with driving lessons starting from 7.00am. This flexibility allows us to accommodate all lifestyles and schedules. If you would like to discuss your individual needs then please feel free to get in touch with us today, we are always on hand and happy to work around your schedule.

Here at BJM School of Motoring we offer a wide range of different services including intensive courses, motorway lessons, beginner lessons and refresher courses.

Fantastic instructor, would recommend.

Barry is an absolutely fantastic instructor and I would recommend him to learners of any level. I felt confident during and after the lessons, Barry is a very concise and encouraging instructor, I felt supported during the lessons with his guidance. He offers fantastic test prep and mock tests that prepared me well to pass my test.

Barry is the best driving instructor

Truly the best driving instructor imaginable. Barry pays attention to every detail and makes sure that not only his students pass their test, but that they are safe and confident to drive on the roads afterwards. The entire time with me Barry was calm and never made me feel stressed. He teaches extremely well and gives clear and understandable instructions. I have now passed my test and I am going to really miss my driving lessons with him, other than being a good teacher he was also a good friend and I always enjoyed the conversations we would have in every lesson.
You can trust Barry to do a perfect job at getting you ready to drive. He puts in 100% effort all the time and if you do the same for him there will be no doubt about getting your driving license.
Moreover, he also handles every situation perfectly and never gets impatient or stressful, he is the perfect driving instructor.

Fantastic driving instructor! 10/10

Barry was a fantastic driving instructor and I would highly recommend! I passed my test first time thanks to Barry's ability to calm and get the best out of me. I was nervous to start driving but Barry was very reassuring and relaxed the entire time. Incredibly reliable and easy to contact if any problems arise, I also recommended Barry to two other friends that I know are making great progress. Thank you again Barry and will highly recommend to anyone in the area, 10/10.

Excellent driving instructor!

Barry taught me and my brother to learn to drive and we both passed first time! We both thoroughly enjoyed our lessons and found that Barry was very flexible with scheduling lessons and very easy to reach if necessary. Barry was very reassuring, calm and patient which I really appreciated as a nervous driver. Would recommend anyone to have him as a driving instructor, thanks so much Barry!
