Automec were recommended too me as i was having trouble with my DSG box on misses audi tt. I spoke to Paul who was obviously aware of dsg gearbox problems. I explained that i had been advised to have a new gearbox at a price of £6k, and paul said why don`t i look online for a second hand box, and thankfully i found one in Macclesfield, had it delivered and then fitted by paul, and thankfully it is now running like a dream. I would recommend Autotec, who are very knowledgeable, fair in price, and professional. Mr Richards.

ripped off big time never again

I trusted these guy with my classic car.I had work done ol to beloved car and thought I had found a honest company. I was so wrong. I supplied all parts. Two sills and rear Wheel arches to be fitted, plus a top notch respray. I was invited to see the car when it was primed. It looked good. I collected the car it looked great, I was pleased. I got it home and discovered they hadn’t done a lot of welding behind the front wings. They had the parts but didn’t fit them. It cost me another £500 for this work. Russ (boss) asked me if I kept the car in a garage? I replied yes. He said good! Two years on I found out why he asked. None of the parts I supplied had been used! Only filler. I spent over £4000 on labour costs No receipts given only compliment slips. This is not just a rip off it’s fraud.
Avoid at all cost.
