Paul managed to diagnose and fix the issue with my VW Caddy where others failed and just gave up. Thanks Paul you are a star and really appreciate your VW knowledge and skill. I was reluctant to give you 5 stars (even though you deserve 10) only because I know you will be so busy and I may have to wait longer next time.

Sorted out my brakes after another garage bodged a fluid change

Booked my car in for a service with Paul from AMT as I hadn't been entirely happy with the last few garages I'd tried. This was all completed with no problem, but there were a few extra items that needed sorting out:
1. New tires. Paul recommended a place, which also turned out to be excellent!
2. Cam belt replacement. It's supposed to be done every 5 years and the car was 9 years old, but it hadn't been mentioned during previous services.
Paul did the cam belt replacement for me a couple of weeks later, and it's a good job he did, because it wasn't far off breaking!

My VW T5 has had a fault for past 2 years which prevented it starting when outside temperature below 10 degrees. Paul turned up promptly and methodically diagnosed the issue without jumping to conclusions or making assumptions. The fault pointed to the ECU which had previously been removed and checked. What was impressive was how Paul tested the specific function within the ECU and then warmed up the ECU to show how the fault disappeared. Paul then spoke to an ECU repair company resulting in the ECU being shipped repaired and reinstalled within a week. I would definitely use Paul again as he has a great knowledge of VW & Audi vehicles.

I contacted Paul for a quote after being told by a dealership that I had a specific problem with the cooling system that they couldn't fix. Paul's quote was very competitive and he bought the parts ahead of time. When he arrived, he discovered that the information I was given was incorrect and he couldn't fix the car that day. He put some fluid in the car to tide my over until he could source the part he needed. He also diagnosed another problem that the dealership had missed!

Paul returned as soon as he could with the correct parts and had the job done in no time. Despite the fact his time has been wasted on the first visit and he had to go to the trouble of returning the part I didn't need, he was courteous, informative and professional. He was fully prepared for the social distancing measures and wore a mask and gloves, even though it was a very hot day.
