This lad came out to deal with our aerial after the high winds took their toll on the one on the chimney stack. Unlike another company I rang from Yel, he didn't try to charge me £50 to come out and them another £130 to fit a new one, instead he came in, identified the problem before deciding the price, found a bodge job by an installer 3 years previously where a very old aerial bracket had been reused had now snapped and hence the aerial was, to quote Bob Dylan, 'Blowing in the wind'.
He fitted a better quality aerial with a new cable, securely fixed and at the front of the house (if the other aerial had come down it would have gone through the conservatory roof) which meant all new cabling right round the side and back of the house and only charged £100 in total. He worked for ages doing an excellent job in semi Arctic conditions and did the job for less than the price the other guy quoted even before the £50 call out charge.
If you have an aerial problem, get this guy out, believe me, I hire contractors for a living and know a good one from a bad one, this guy is good!

We contacted Gareth @ Aspin who quoted a brilliant price of just £60 (including a new Aerial) & were not disappointed at all. He arrived on time as promised so a great start there. Once the problem was discussed & located he just got on with the job but keeping us informed as to what was happening & showing us the reasons why we had such a poor reception (birds pecking the cap off, rain getting in & down the cables, rust,etc). He was also very considerate when entering the house by removing his shoes so as not to dirty the floors/carpets so again another plus point to a very proffessional all round approach. He replaced the aerial, cable & even removed an old extra obsolete cable too. Gareth has a great attitude & obviously enjoys his work...we now have fabulous reception & a picture that is much better quality than ever...so thanks, Gareth..great job & we have no hesitation in recommending you for other work.
