I doubt there are many of you who remember the heady days of Burkitt and Hampshire working out of the old Victorian building on the site of our Cove hospital in the 1950s and 60s but here lie the origins of the Ashworth Veterinary Group.Fred Hampshire remained as senior partner until the mid 1980s and was joined in partnership by Alan Wynde, Ian Nichols and in 1981 by David Ashworth. Alan Wynde retired to his garden in 2000 and the new partnership of Ashworth and Raijmakers incorporated the business making it a limited company. Hester Raijmakers emigrated to Australia in 2005 and the Ashworth Veterinary Group was born.

Veterinary practice has changed radically over the last 7/8 years and new attitudes and protocols have brought about the changes that were necessary for a thriving 21st century veterinary practice. I am extremely proud of the way my staff have embraced these changes over the last year or so. We have a first class teams at all of our surgeries!

The vet surgery here in cove has been running for over 50 years.
The lovely tiles around reception were designed by a local school. They are their interpretation of animals that they own or would like to own!
This chap decided he would have a relax on our consulting room table

They say 1 thing do another l have been waiting 3 days 4 a health check certificate & the price! Wasted money. Oh I have a brain tumour, epilepsy with a tremor, they said they would help! What a load of tosh. I have used this practice over 40yrs cos I wont see an animal in need. Well they only see me as money.
Now im going to the Equity & Human rights commission see what they say! Cos I have proof little do they know it! Stay Clear!
