Ashby Guitar Tuition

I have been teaching guitar for many years. I teach all ages and levels, rhythm and lead styles, music reading, theory and chord construction as required.

Although reading is not necessary for guitar (many top names do not read) I do encourage this with children in particular, as this gives them a good grounding in music generally & is very useful should they take up another musical instrument later.

Reading is also useful for those who wish to make a serious career of guitar playing.

I endeavor to make the lessons fun and the learning process enjoyable as well as informative. I can help with not just the various techniques that make guitar playing interesting but also with music creation in general.

Whether you're new to guitar or have been playing for sometime and want to break out of old molds into something new, or you've hit a plateau I'm sure we can come up with something tailor made for your particular needs, level or style.

Styles include blues, pop, jazz, rock & country.

I have a well equipped studio room & parents of children are welcome to stay for the duration of the lesson.

I can provide the use of an instrument if need be. This is especially helpful for those who are not sure how it is to play guitar & wish to make a decision after a trial lesson before investing in an instrument.

I offer a first half hour trial lesson free of charge for those who wish to try first or just have a chat & discuss their needs before making a decision.

I'm also happy to assist in acquiring the right guitar &/or other related equipment such as amps etc.

I am based in Ashby de la Zouch in East Midlands and serve Ashby and the surrounding areas.
