Do not buy or sell with Arthur Kay.

Do not buy or sell here. I had jewelry to sell & was offered £450 for the lot. I asked about a ring & was told the stone was glass & chipped & worth only the gold. I was offered £55. The bracelet was sold for £165. I thought the company had integrity so I sold all the items, inc the ring & bracelet. A week or so later I saw the ring priced at £295 & the bracelet at £895. I went in & questioned the extortionate price increase. No reasonable explanation was given. The manager offered to sell me back the two items which I was willing to do but when he pulled the receipt he hadn't itemized the pieces sold & would only sell for £450. I was unwilling to do this as the sold price for the 2 items was £220. Was the receipt deliberately vague to counter complaints such as mine? It felt very underhand. I would advise anyone from buying or selling at Arthur Kay. They lack integrity and decency. I expected more from an established family company. Very poor Arthur Kay. You should be ashamed!
