Armstrong Pharmacy

I have had to liaise with this pharmacy in conjunction with a local health centre regarding my elderly Mums medication. I have found them to be excellent, on the ball and very helpful. If they are not too crazy busy, they have always taken the time to help me get my head around the confusing meds regimen and have pointed me the right direction in terms of contacting the surgery. I have trust in their professionalism.

New people in there now and so unhelpful. Can’t even get hold of the phone, looks like they keep it off the hook. Pharmacist and the team before were so helpful. Changing my pharmacy. Not going here anymore

This was a good local pharmacy especially during the pandemic. Now all the staff have changed and your made to feel like a junkie for trying to buy plain ibuprofen. The last time I went in they wouldn't allow me to get a medication in an emergency which is not a controlled drug but is vital for treating life threatening allergies all because there card machine wasn't working and all I had was a card to pay by nevermind the fact I've been attending this pharmacy and having my prescriptions filled there since its opening some 12-15yrs ago. The same situation arose some 5yrs ago and not only was I given the medication but the previous pharmacist insisted I waited with her until an ambulance arrived. So there you see the difference in treatment and plain human decency. Anyway I ended up going to the 24hr chemist two miles further up green lanes to get it, even though I'm disabled and on crutches in short just avoid this place if you expect reasonable care!
