Ariete Italian Bar & Restaurant

Went there for a special occasion, booked in advance but table not ready when we arrived. Had to wait almost an hour in a crowded bar with nowhere to sit (we had elderly relatives with us!). When we finally got our table they couldn't cope with a food allergy despite advance notice & our meals arrived at different times so some were getting starters whilst others were on main courses! Two of the main meals were not as ordered so we had a further 30 minutes to wait before they were served. Tried to complain but the staff weren't interested & had to leave before desserts arrived because they also took ages to be served which was surprising for gelato! Never again.....

Me and my family have made this restaurant our regular place to eat. The staff are very helpful and will always apologise if something has disturbed the meal (aka. Rude ignorant customers, food forgotten or made incorrect, etc). The owner is an incredibly authentic, polite guy who 's customer service is unforgettable, I believe other restaurants should learn from him. No request is too much and he will always bid you farewell.
Very high recommendations for people who know good food.

greeted straight away and sat down at a table , got drinks very quick even though it was very busy . food was amazing, service excellent cant wait to go again . 10/10

Ive been going here for nearly six years - we try to go for special occasions. Every time I have always come away with only great things to say. The food and service you recieve are superb - the owner is quite possibly the friendliest guy you will ever meet. Proof in point - my last vist was with my wife, two friends, and my little girl (nearly 2 years old). During the meal my daughter noticed a balloon on the ceiling & ofcourse she wanted it!! The owner only gets out a step ladder, placed it on a table and brought the balloon down for here!!! THAT is service and therefore i recommend anyone to give the Ariete a go - you won't be disappointed.

Forget this place if you are expecting any level of service whatsoever - there is none. The food is okay at best, there being NO Italian staff on site!! We used to frequent this place, as it was a most pleasing place to spend an evening. No any more - the miserable bar staff left us without a drink ( in the bar ) for FIFTY minutes. We left, and went to an alternative venue. We suggest everyone else does the same. The miserable, ignorant cow who staffs the bar will ruin your experience. She ruined our night, she may well ruin yours. Stay away
