Our Design in a Day Workshop was both extremely helpful and highly enjoyable.

Sam spent time familiarising herself with the surrounding area and the site of our proposed project, before talking with us at length, and listening attentively to get a feel for our hopes and requirements. She was positive and enthusiastic, while pointing out some practical constraints and possibilities that non-professionals would not be aware of.

When it came to sketching ideas, Sam worked quickly and creatively. She clarified and developed our thoughts, while offering and incorporating her own expert and inspired solutions, and leading us in a very enjoyable and energetic process of creative collaboration. We felt fully involved, and never dictated to.

The sketches Sam produced on the day were clear and easy for us to understand. We have now received a package of beautifully developed plans, and internal and external views of two design options, with accompanying inspiration illustrations for each area. These preliminary proposals meet our practical brief, and are perfectly attuned to the spirit of our project.

The package also includes a clear outline of the next stages, with estimated costs, and we are very much looking forward to proceeding with Architecture WK. The Design in a Day Workshop was a great experience in itself, and exactly what we needed to begin the process of realising our dream. "

The design in a day workshop really stood out as what we were looking for. We like to be involved in the design process and a collaborative approach was just what we were looking for. From the moment AWK received our call, they showed genuine enthusiasm and passion for the project taking a real interest in the design features of our house. We achieved a huge amount in just half a day, and Sam gave us expertise and design ideas that a builder could not. The drawings, 3D renders and mood boards we received back really brought the ideas to life and have been a great way to help us visualise the new space. Highly recommend! EP

Sam listens, is client centred, innovative, well organised and an excellent project manager. She pays attention to detail. Most of all she is passionate about her work. A great Architect and example of all that is good in the profession at such a challenging time.

It was also a pleasure for us having you around and thank you for your highly professional approach and your conduct. I appreciate that the format of this session can be tiring but your energy, ideas and the way you engaged with us made the 8 hours fly by in the most constructive manner.

You managed to capture our ideas and preferences for this project and at the same time presented us with numerous viable alternative configurations, giving us the confidence that the final proposal was indeed the best option for us.

We are extremely satisfied with the way the Design in a Day session was conducted and the end result / deliverables. Its hard to think of any additional information one would expect given the time allocated for this session. You may want to consider providing a 3D model or proposed local suppliers of materials/services but then again such would be "nice to have" rather than significant improvement to the quality of the deliverables.
