Laurence fixed our oven today, we was really stressed it breaking so close to Christmas, he came and mended the oven so quickly his reasonable and professional and defiantly knows what he is doing, I highly recommend.

Water leaking from draw

Our washing machine began leaking out of the detergent draw a week or so ago around the rinse part of the cycle so I called Appliance Works. Unfortunately he couldn’t come to mine due to being overworked in his area but was able to explain the most likely solution.
He explained that recently the water pressure in several boroughs have been increased so it’s likely I’d have to lower the pressure going into my washing machine.
To do this I pulled out my washing machine. The water pipe going into the machine has a small lever. You turn this 90degrees so it’s off. You then turn the washing machine on to any wash, ideally short to save waiting and when you hear the machine humming as it’s trying to draw water (not long) you gradually increase the flow of water. We did about half the turn that it was on.
Fingers crossed, it seems to have done the trick and needless to say he saved me a lot of money.
