Ansell Garden Centre

just one word disapointing experience and run by a bunch of idiots who cant control anything theres misstrust and a disapoining service

After a number of visits to Ansell's Garden Centre over the past couple of years, and spending hundreds of pound in the process, we have decided to take our custom elsware, the reason is an overwhelming feeling of mistrust that come from the senior staff both mentally and physically.

Disappointing customer service today (03.01.2022) While shopping at Ansells today as I have over the last few years, my (Newly purchased) top was snagged & ripped by a screw that had been left protruding out of a display. After speaking with the Manager and showing him the location of the incident , he very quickly started making excuses & noises about suggesting it was my fault ?? I did suggest to him that it could have been a lot worse if someone has bushed their arm against the sharp screw, it would have left a deep cut needing treatment. I returned later with the garment purchase receipt, where the Manager only offered me a portion of the actual purchase price - some way off allowing me to purchase a new replacement. Even with some disputing / arguing over his offer, he wouldn’t budge. Sadly, that will be my last trip to Ansells, which I used to regard as a good place to shop - but clearly cash and the contents of their till is king over decent & honest customer service.

Brilliant garden centre, I used it for years before I moved to Northampton. I still go there a couple of times a year especially to get my pansies. All their flowers,plants,shrubs and trees are always good quality. It's family run and all are very helpful and kind. When my children were young I used to bring them to see all the wonderful Christmas working models and decorations and then a meal in the restaurant' Thank you for all your help over the years.
