Highly recommend

Have used them for years and always had good service and good advice. Would highly recommend as a trustworthy garage in an unreliable industry.

AVOID: Dishonest, unprofessional and failed to deliver full servicing on BMW 316i 2014

1
Freddy (mechanic at Ansa Motorworks) has been dishonest, unprofessional and failed to deliver full servicing that was promised when booking with them. Tried to charge me more than quoted, continued doing the servicing despite knowing their BMW digital service online was down without my consent even though I explicitly asked for these services when booking. I felt obliged to pay for their partial service and vague checklist, despite that I trusted them to update BMW digital updates at later point. A month later, no progress, lied that BMW digital service/iDrive update was not part of my quote, deliberately did not list it in invoice and now refused to reimburse me to get work done elsewhere.
I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE doing your business ANSA MOTORS WORKS. I was relucted going to them initially due to bad Google reviews but approvedgrages.co.uk and goodgaragescheme.com websites seemed genuine. HOWEVER, DO NOT BE FOOLED. I will no longer go again and actively tell everyone to AVOID.

A Great Honest Garage

5
I have been taking my wife's car to this garage since 2016 and have always found them to be very helpful able to tackle little and large jobs.

In terms of giving advice they have been honest and only recommended works to be done when it needed to be done, such a change from my previous garage who were always trying to maximise their revenue.

I have no problem recommending them for any job, 97.8% 5 star from 1467 feedbacks on Good Garage Scheme, I agree.

Dodgy mechanics!

1
Dodgy mechanics! I’ve had to take my car back on several occasions after they attempted to fix a timing chain problem (chain still made a rattle noise and Freddy the mechanic said it’s normal for it to make a little bit of noise..) only to have found out from another mechanic that they did half the job (fitted half a kit) Ended up having to pay for the same job again within a year for the full kit. Additionally they were very quick to scrap the replacement parts even though I had asked them to keep them aside... Basically one of those mechanics that tells you something’s wrong with the part when nothing is. So there’s a good chance your going to pay for something that doesn’t need fixing.
I’ve been taking my car back to the garage for almost a year (Couldn’t even get my name right on any of the paperwork even though they had a copy of my driving licence) and having spent almost £1500 purely because THEY did the work and THEY have a duty of care to ensure it’s done properly.
