I was looking to get a mortgage for a quick move, tried to sort this out online, but the process was painfully slow so decided to use a financial adviser. Robert Allen was the one I chose. I have been stung in the past with endowments etc, so was a bit nervous about using an advisor again. Fortunately Rob turned out to be one of the good guys! Small front room outfit which means you are not paying for fancy offices, Rob spent a whole morning going through my financial details and set me up with a good deal. We managed to get stung - gazumped 3 times, but Rob's patience during this time was very helpful. A couple of glitches were ironed out by Rob who was like a terrior at a bone when the building societies were messing around. All in all a great service, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone looking to get a good deal on a mortgage! 10/10
