Took two bridesmaid dresses to Alla Moda that had been the victims of horrifically botched alterations by a another seamstress (from elsewhere). The tailor at Alla Moda has worked nothing short of a miracle on them - I can't thank him enough!! He was calm and reassuring on the phone beforehand, gave realistic information about what could and couldn't be achieved given the state we brought the dresses to him in, and yet ended up exceeding our expections with the result. Incredibly neat work, all done very efficiently, and he's rectified what we thought was an unsaveable situation - the dresses now fit perfectly! Will definitely be taking all garments straight to here for alterations in the future. Would absolutely recommend.

I have just had a Leather motorcycle jacket repaired with new zip and had 2 inserts put in.

The job is excellent, totally 1st Class.

The owner was rude several times. Over the phone to my mum when she asked for a quote. Then when we came for the bridesmaids fitting, she told me to come back 2 weeks before with one bridesmaid as she was pregnant and my other bridesmaid specifically asked for high straps but the owner said it wasn't necessary. When we returned to collect the 1 dress, it needed altering as the straps were not high enough (funnily enough) and chest was on show. The worker accepted this but when we came to collect the dress a few weeks later the owner was there and accused me of being 'demanding and picky' and refused to alter my pregnant bridesmaids' dress unless someone else was present to witness what I had agreed due to my 'pickiness'. It wasn't possible as my other bridesmaid was a nurse and it was 2 weeks before the wedding so time was against us. She reluctantly agreed to alter the dress IF I took photos of it pinned on my pregnant bridesmaid. Luckily I didn't use this company for my own dress!

Absolutely fabulous service, great job on a very expensive dress that needed altering. Good price, would highly recommend. Thank you. Quick service and turnaround.

My husband took suit in to be made smaller after he had lost weight. They should have been honest and said the alterations needed were too difficult and that the suit would look dreadful and still not fit.
When we went to collect it there were huge folds under husbands arms, the suit is unwareable and looks worse than when it was too big. The owner was rude and said “what did you expect”, maintaining that hours of work had been put in. Wish we had just left suit there and walked away, a complete waste of money. The owner is sweetness and light when things go well, makes out it’s the customers fault when it doesn’t. Still charged us £78
which we paid as situation was getting nasty. Find somewhere else to go!
