Why can l not order a toasted teacake at 2.30pm

Friends and l always popping in usually for liunch, because of differing appetites it was great if you wanted a full meal plus dessert, soup, sandwich or a toasted teacake with a drink all could be catered for, with either shopped before hand as we especially like Edinburgh Woollen Mill or after eating , but, after today’s experience, l went in at 2.30pm, decided to have a toasted teacake & latte before shopping, looked at boards, menu before ordering, then went to order only to be told they don’t do toasted teacakes after 1130am yet no where do they inform you of this as l don’t eat cake, scones etc nor did l want a meal as such, l left and having contacted all concerned re this, they have now lost a number of customers, we will go else where to eat and shop, EWM will not lose us we will just go else where, but, why at 2.30pm one cannot have a toasted teacake is beyond belief.

All in One Garden Centre visit.

Very tidy, clean and well set out garden centre with lots of variety. We went into the cafe for lunch and took advantage of one of the offers on a 2 for 1 bowl of soup with sandwiches. The soup was home made mushroom, excellent, and a choice of sandwiches. We opted for Tuna on white and ham on brown, which came with a little pot of English mustard. Both sets of sandwiches were delicious and accompanied by English tea and a latte coffee. The coffee had the shape of a leaf on top, very original. There was also an offer on sausages and mash with onion gravy at £6.99 but two for £10.00 plus beer battered fish, chips and peas, baked potatoes and specials, minced beef pie, chips and peas. Served in a very convivial manner. I visited the gents toilet, which was immaculate, so well done there. Lots of interesting things to buy, besides the plants, and well worth a visit. Very reasonable prices too.
