Alix James Decorators

Unfortunately, we'd been messed about by another decorating firm before we discovered Alix - and so already over budget. However, guarded and furious with workmen in general, we were both relieved and delighted when we were given Alix's details by a lady colleague of my wife. Extremely presentable, professional and personable, we immediately found Alix to be good as his word on all accounts - completing our whole house cleanly, competently and well within time (before our family holiday, so quite a stressful time!). A particularly nice touch is his 'aftercare' - contacting us 3 months afterwards to ensure that we were pleased with the finish (beautiful!) and with his service overall - which, in my experience, is second to none. We could not fault his expertise (particularly as ours is a large period property that requires a lot of understanding and sympathetic workmanship), his diligence (extraordinarily hard-working for a tradesman!) and his dedication to the task. I felt completely comfortable leaving him to it, knowing that everything we wanted done would be taken care of! I would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to another home (or business) owner - and when we have our kitchen and downstairs lounge refitted next year, Alix will be one of the first people I call.
