Hi - I’m a BSc, MSc, PhD qualified Maths, Science Tutor in the Handforth, Wilmslow, Cheshire area. I have over 15yrs experience and a track record of improved grades in Maths and Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at all levels and of basic skills (English, maths and verbal reasoning) from age 8 to lower secondary level (KS3).

I have a friendly, approachable and patient with an adaptable/ flexible tutoring style catering for individual student needs. For those doing key exams, my particular focus is on exam technique and practice for those requiring SATS, entrance test or eleven plus (11+), GCSE, iGCSE, level 2 additional maths, level 3 FSMQ and A level preparation.

I offer both face to face private home tutoring, or, more recently online tutoring mostly via Zoom, but also via FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp or a virtual classroom portal.

I have experience teaching, academic research and lecturing (Universities of Cardiff, Oxford and Manchester in Medical, Dental and medical and health related sciences ), FE college lecturing (Science for Public Understanding A level modules), student mentoring and counselling (high school and university level), training of TA's and providing 1-2-1 private home tuition at all levels. I am also a published author, having written and co-written numerous academic, peer-reviewed, papers as well as a book chapter and, more recently, have been involved in the production of a further maths (OCR) textbook.
