Didn't turn up, poor service

Rang Albatross roofing after being stood up by another roofer. Guaranteed he would be round the next day. Didn't show up, no message saying he couldn't make it, no answer on landline or mobile. Makes me wonder if it's true that workmen are either lazy, inconsiderate, liars or won't work for women. Which one? Would not recommend at all, terrible service.
