Welcome to SolihullÂ’s Premier African & Caribbean Restaurant.

We have a great selection of African, Caribbean & English food and drinks available.

Choose from Curried Goat, Jerk Chicken, African Chicken & Rice or good old Fish & Chips.

Open from 9:30am, we do Full English and Caribbean Breakfast until 11:00am served with Fresh Juice and Kenyan Tea & Coffee, serving main meals, snacks or just drinks until 5:00pm.

We have late night opening on ThursdayÂ’s & Friday Evenings and Sunday Evenings for Caribbean Sunday until 10pm for our fantastic Caribbean Buffet.

This is a great evening where you can relax in our unique Jungle setting in the beer garden or keep warm inside Tribe Restaurant.

This is one of our favourite places, it truly is a hidden gem. There are sculptures of animals located all the way around the garden centre, a tropical bird and reptile house and a beautiful beach, equipped with deckchairs and sand toys. There is also a lovely African themed restaurant serving lovely food and delicious cakes! We love it here, you feel like you are on holiday! They also have themed evenings on with entertainment, so it's definitely worth a visit, suitable for families and couples of all ages.

An experience like nowhere else.

Visiting Akamba is a sensory experience like no other garden centre any where else. One is greeted by an array of lifesize sculpted animals hidden amongst the exotic foliage surrounding the car park which offers a flavour of what you will experience once through the gateway. The entire site is given over to a landscape far removed from Solihull. One is transferred into the tropics reminiscent of the Caribbean or Africa. Lush planting and rustic buildings add to the atmosphere and the Tribe Eatery serves delicious food often only tasted by many on vacations. Highly Recommended. Go there to find out for yourself.
