Airbles Road Centre

We received promising news at Wishaw General Hospital that my father would be transferring to the Airbles Road facility for comprehensive rehabilitation after his stroke. However, after arriving the actual conditions were highly disappointing. The available food options were limited to microwavable meals, hygiene care was inadequate, and the rehabilitation services were seemingly non existing. Shockingly, after weeks of apparently working with my father multiple times daily the physiotherapists didn't know he could move and lift his bad leg independently. Eventually, I brought it to their attention, she was really surprised and called in another occupational therapist to see the independent movement. The overall standard of care was truly appalling. It's disheartening that the poor quality of care has become a running joke and a frequent topic of discussion among the ward's patients and visitors.
