Took advantage of young blonde girl

1
Took advantage of young blonde girl…
phoned up and dropped off as a broken down car temporarily recovered by the AA and was greeted by rude and uninterested staff and told no information on an estimated price as he ‘didn’t know’ - the mechanic, and he assured they would phone and confirm pricing. I phoned up 2 days later to get an update as i had no communication and was told it was done and the total price is £550… no authorisation was given for work to be carried out and when i questioned the price i was met with argument and an assumption someone had called me. Immediately Bob, the garage owner, dropped the price to the £384 and could not offer a reason as to the initial quote. When i asked in person the response was the same, i guess we can put this down to young blonde girl tax… avoid at all costs.

AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!

Went to this garage as had a long drive home and wanted to check i didn't have a slow puncture. BIG MISTAKE as the guy thought shes on her own with 4 kids let's make some quick money! He asked me which tyre I thought it was, then told me I needed a £90 new tyre which he will order and will be in stock later that afternoon. He said i definately had a puncture as can see air coming out the tyre. I told him I have NEW run flat tyres and he said no they are not and can see a nail in my tyre. I made the mistake of telling him i'm driving over 200miles home so was trying to convince me I wouldn't make it there!
I drove to Formby beach spent the day there whilst waiting for tyre to arrive. Luckily I met a really nice gentlemen on the beach who happened to be a retired mechanic, he checked all my tyres thoroughly and couldn't see any issues, plus the fact I'd been on the beach all day and the air pressure had not altered. I've driven 500+ miles since and my tyre pressure has not changed!
